Road trip to Norman!

So...We finally made it back to Norman for the first time since I graduated in 2005! When I left I never imagined that the next time I set foot on campus it would be with my 2 kids! ha! My brother is a freshman there now and Caleb's sister is a senior, so we got to visit each of them as well. Enjoy the pics!

The dorm rooms were just how I remembered, but with better furniture. They even smelled exactly the same!
We made a stop at my old journalism college...going inside gave me butterflies like I was getting ready to give a presentation. Glad I'm finished with that!

I've always loved this fountain...

Me and my brother at the union.

They must make some pretty mean fries, 'cause the boys gobbled them up!

Poppy and daddy, with no fries :(

We're representin' in our OU shirts at my old dorm hall.

Ezra was being such a good helper and when Poppy cried he would say, "She needs milk!"

Cara, Caleb and Poppy at Cara's apartment.

Ezra was too worn out to move and get in the picture with everyone else.

Aunt Cara and Poppy!
We were all SO worn out by the end of the day, but we had so much fun! I'm glad to see that everything is still pretty much the same. We had a great day and plan on visiting again before another 4 years goes by! :)
Courtesy of another blog that I enjoy: Here are some tidbits about me...

I Am
the most fulfilled I have ever been.

I Want
a country cottage.

I Have
more than I deserve.

I Wish
to make many happy memories that our kids will always have.

I Hate
when people try to make themselves appear like something they are not.

I Fear
having regrets when I'm old.

I Hear
my little Poppy making sleepy sounds.

I Search
for wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

I Wonder
what God has in store for our life.

I Regret
not getting married sooner.

I Love
having our own family.

I Ache
when I am missing someone.

I Always
try to learn something.

I Usually
stay up too late.

I Am Not
made to live in Oklahoma.

I Dance
around all the time.

I Sing
horribly, yet all of the time. :)

I Never
deny someone forgiveness.

I Rarely
can stay mad. Thankfully.

I Cry
easily.

I Am Not Always
as patient as I should be.

I Lose
everything I need to take as I'm going out the door.

I'm Confused
plenty of the time.

I Need
more hours in the night!

I Should
be less critical.

I Dream
about remodeling our kitchen.

Wow! That was more challenging than I thought! Anyone who wants to use this, paste it in on your blog and write in your answers. Could be interesting...

Update from us

Hi! I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth... just been busy! Busy in the sort of way that a dog is busy chasing his tail. Keeping up with a 2 year old and a ALMOST 2 month old is a lot of running in circles, literally! Ha! Poppy is sleeping for 5 hours straight most nights and I am so grateful for that! When she goes to sleep I can't decide if I should run to bed as fast as I can or sit and enjoy the peace. Usually I enjoy the peace and then when she wakes up that first time I kick myself for not going to bed!

I also made a great discovery this week! Well, I think it's great, but everyone else may already know. Have you checked out the library lately? I realized that they have really good cd's! Every cd that I wanted to buy (which is at least about 15 at any given time) they had to rent! I have been mad at itunes for raising the price of their songs, so I haven't bought any lately, but now I can listen to everything I want FOR FREE!!! And they have movies too! I was mad because I looked up several of the last few movies we have rented and they had them all there, again FOR FREE!!! I'm all about saving a buck, and though I LOVE Redbox (I'm also mad at Blockbuster for being a RIP OFF) free is even better! SO needless to say I requested that a bazillion things be sent to the library by our house and I can't wait to go pick 'em up!

Here are some pics of the kiddos to keep Granny satisfied, 'cause we all know that's the only reason she reads my blog!

Watch out Ez, you're gonna get punched!

This is Ezra's new face. It is hands down the funniest thing I have ever seen in my whole life! I wish this picture could capture motion, because he also shakes while doing it, but I'm just glad to get a frame of the face...watch out for this kid because someday he is going to have his own comedy show!

Little Poppy looking around in bed!

She has been smiling a lot, but this was the closest I've come to getting a picture of it. She has such a precious little face, and her smoochies are good too!

Sunday after church at our house, or pretty much any afternoon! Ha :)

And for the sake of keeping it real, (ya, this is realllly real & I'm wondering why we have so many photos of us in pajamas???) I am adding this photo because it pretty much sums it all up. I may be haggard with under eye circles, but you'll never find a happier mommy!

A litte of this and a little of that...

There's lots of randomness in today's post...it just kept growing and growing! Well, some of you know my brother Zach started at OU this fall which meant he had to miss Ezra's first birthday party, so we had a second little celebration at Chuck E. Cheese last weekend when he came home. Here they are with Clifford. Ezra likes Clifford a lot, but not near as much as Zach did, as you can tell by their faces. haha!

I actually have a pic of me on this same ride!

"She's my POPSICLE!!!" Ok, so I don't know if anybody remembers that New Kids on the Block song from wayyyy back when, and I'm kind of embarrassed that I do, but I sing it to Poppy all of the time...so when I saw this shirt I had to buy it for her and here is a pic.
On Sunday we celebrated my great grandma's 93rd birthday! Here she is with Poppy- her great-great granddaughter... I think that's so neat!

5 generations...My grandpa, dad, great grandma, Poppy and me!

Ezra made quick friends with his cousin Evan that he hasn't seen in while. They were so cute together!

He had so much fun playing and wore himself out. Here he is on the car ride home.

And what's a dirty, sweaty boy to do? Take a bath! I laughed so hard when I saw him standing like this with the towel wrapped around him... does anyone else think he looks like a star wars character with the brown cloak??? He just needs a light saber thingy!

And last, does everyone know the Duggars? They announced this week that they are expecting their 19th child! WOW. We actually met them when Caleb was in real estate and went over to their house. They are such a neat family and we really like them alot! Everyone keeps asking about us since we had Poppy when Ezra was still one, and NO-we have no intention of being the Duggar family number 2!!! haha! But we do think they are wonderful and there is a lot that can be learned from this amazing family. Congrats to them!
