The last weekend before Poppy's arrival has officially come and gone. I'm scheduled to be induced on Friday, but still praying that she will come earlier. Thursday she weighed 8lbs 5 oz...that's less than Ezra when he was born! I have been walking like a mad woman because my mom swears it will help speed things up. I hope so!!! Her room is pretty much completely finished so I decided to post some pictures. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, especially being that I never had a firm grasp of what I wanted...I pretty much just felt my way through it but it feels like exactly what I wanted now that it has come together. See what you think...


The bedding was the first thing I bought. I love the vintage look of the embroidery, but there is still playfulness too!



This will be our cozy corner to snuggle and read. I imagine we will be spending plenty of time in this little spot! And bonus, it's got enough space to fit an extra sweet little boy in there as well! :)



and...

...these are the winners! Haha!!! At my baby shower my mom had everyone draw or write something to Poppy so that we could pick our favorites and frame them. I really like having something special, made by people that love us to be hanging over her doorway to remind us every time we pass through.

And these are the most special things in her room and I LOVE them! My mom and dad made these pictures and frames and I think they are perfect! I am also going to just add this next pic. because although we are very excited and anxious to meet Poppy, this little boy is my FIRST precious baby and it is because of him, and the indescribable joy and happiness he brings to us, that we even wanted another one so soon!

Here he is with Daddy checking out a "smart (until you get hit) car." We will NOT be buying one, ha! If you don't see any post in the next few days, hopefully I'll be in labor!!!

No news ISN'T good news!

So we were supposed to know by now when my induction date would be, but still no word. I talked to the nurse today and she said that hopefully tomorrow they would be able to schedule it and let us know. The plan was sometime between 38.5 and 39 weeks, but that is THIS WEEKEND!!! She is getting so big, and measures bigger than Ezra did at this point. We go back in Thursday to get another ultrasound and to update her current measurements and I'm a little worried that they are gonna say she is 9 lbs. now or something huge because she was 6 lbs. a month ago! I think the Lord is testing me on my patience because I am so impatient, especially when it comes to these sort of things. I'm beginning to understand where I get it because my mom and brother have each called me everyday this week to find out what I've heard, which of course I would have told them right away! I guess we are all getting a lesson in waiting this week!

VBS and Baby Shower

I'm starting this blog to document our life and to let our extended family know what we're up to these days. If you don't know us, you may be bored to death...but whoever you are, enjoy!

So anyways, tonight we took Ezra to his very first VBS at our church. At first he wasn't sure what to think and didn't want either of us out of his sight. After a few songs he realized it was pretty entertaining and did better. Then by the end of his class and a few cookies later, he was up playing around and talking. Whew! I think he really ended up enjoying it. He colored some pictures and also made this cute frame to hang on the fridge.



Also...the baby shower was Saturday and it went great! So many people showed up and we got some of the cutest gifts! Here is my adorable cake that was made by my favorite go to cake maker, Lori Cossou. She has done all the cakes for every event I've ever had, even our wedding cake, and she is amazing!!!
