Fun new things!!!!

Today I got in Poppy's baby legs that I had ordered from a lady that makes them on Etsy. I was so excited to get them and they are SO cute! While I put them on her I hummed the theme to Flash Dance, haha! No, really I did.We have another pair also, but I'll have to wait to show you those because they are for Christmas!!! It's coming you know! Here she is modeling her fall pair...

"Who me?"

She is such a preppy girl in her argyle! :)

THIS is my lovely new fall wreath that I hung today. I got it last week but had to wait until I got the hook to hang it on. I just love it and had to show! :)

Fun day with the pumpkins!!!

This week we took a trip to the pumpkin patch to have some fun and pick out our pumpkins for Halloween! Last time we went, Ezra was only two months old, so this time was so much fun!!! He loved it and I was so excited to get to see him experience everything for the first time that he remembers. Poppy is close to the same age he was when we brought him the first time, so I am looking forward to bringing her back in a year or two and watching them play. Ezra got to ride a horse and we also bought some pumpkin pie fudge and it was sooo DELICIOUS!!! Here are some pictures of our day...

Caleb getting Poppy bundled up...it was cold! He wasn't thrilled with my "candid" photos! Ha!

Ezra loved getting to see and pet the animals! There were goats, sheep, pigs, ducks, chickens, horses and even a camel! He thought it was great fun and we thought it was fun watching him interacting with them!

Poppy and I enjoyed snuggling while the boys played with the goats.

There were SO many pumpkins! This is just one mound of about twenty giant stacks!

Poppy's first pumpkin patch picture. These are the same overalls Ezra wore in his first pumpkin patch pictures.

Ezra chose his pumpkin first thing, and we hauled him and it in the wagon for the rest of the day.

This is cowboy (the horse). We thought Ezra might be scared or want us to hold onto him, but he just hopped right up there and hung on like a pro. He was so funny riding up there like it was no big deal, just something he does everyday...

This pig didn't know it yet, but about two seconds later that finger went right up his snout.

I didn't know Ez was willing to kiss a goat, but he did and we got the pic to prove it!

We called these the Bob Marley sheep. They had some pretty impressive dreads that would even make the Whole Foods people envious.

Poppy is so good she could pick out her pumpkin with her eyes closed...and she did!

The final selections...4 pumpkins, a big daddy pumpkin, a medium mommy pumpkin, a small toddler pumpkin, and a tiny baby pumpkin :)

See ya later! Happy Halloween!

Iced Pumpkin Saturdays

Saturdays are great, but Saturdays in October are the BEST! I LOVE FALL! I got  so much done today, and I never even left the house. Ezra and Poppy are starting to entertain each other for short periods of time-for which I am VERY thankful!!! They laid in Ezra's bed while I worked on switching out his summer clothes for fall clothes. I heard Ezra telling her "God is great, God is good...,"the little prayer he says at dinner. They looked so sweet so I took some pictures.

Poppy's hair is CRAZY because she had just got out of the bath. While it dries it is always out of control! (Even more than usual:)

Every year around this time, all the little bakeries and coffee shops start bringing out pumpkin EVERYTHING, and I LOVE pumpkin!!! But who wants to pay 3 bucks for a muffin??? No thanks! So I am always in search of yummy pumpkin goodies to makes at home and today I found a new one that is a keeper for sure! Here is the recipe for...

What a difference a week makes!

This past week has brought some MAJOR changes around the Bailey household. My husband started a new job, we sold a car, we remodeled part of our kitchen and we got some highly anticipated iphones! Wow, I'm exhausted just rethinking about it. Let me just say that we have certainly had some prayers answered. Sometimes it seems like when it rains it pours, but this can happen with the blessings just as well as it happens with the hard times. When struggles seem endless, don't give up on the Lord-He is still there loving you and planning HIS way to see you through! I just needed to share how thankful I am to a God that is ALWAYS there for me and for YOU, because sometimes it is hard to see light at the end of the tunnel, but his light never goes out-even when we don't know that we can see it. I have listened to this song by one of my favorites, Tenth Avenue North, about 80 million times and it always makes me feel better...I hope you will give it a listen too.
